Radiology Instruction Guide

Please review specific scanning guidelines below. Following accurate diagnostic instructions preserves safety timelines and prevents rescheduling loops.

Preparation Windows

Routine diagnostic digital radiography procedures require no prior dietary fasting restrictions and run continuously within standard operational schedules.

Mandatory Instructions
  • Arrive wearing clean, lightweight apparel. Avoid dense screen prints, thick metallic zippers, or structural stays.
  • All target jewelry items, metallic hair fixtures, body modifications, and electronic wearables must clear the diagnostic path.
  • Pregnancy Warning: Female patients must verify status with clinicians prior to high-energy exposure rooms.
Abdomen & Liver Protocols
  • Strict NPO status (nil by mouth) required for a minimum of 6 to 8 hours prior to appointment window.
  • Refrain from drinking milk, chewing gum, or taking hot caffeinated beverages, as these actions trigger gallbladder contractions.
Pelvic & Pregnancy Windows
  • An optimally extended bladder matrix is critical to clear acoustic pathways over lower pelvic fields.
  • Consume 1 liter of clear drinking water 1 hour prior to entry, and do not void until evaluation sequences finish.
Contrast Media Execution (CECT)

Advanced diagnostic processing maps internal tissue pathways using clear, fast-acting iodine contrast media infusions.

Required Screening Milestones
  • Maintain total solid dietary fasting guidelines for 4 full hours before your target appointment slot.
  • You must provide a valid **Serum Creatinine** blood collection report performed within the last 15 days to verify kidney filtration capacity.
  • For comprehensive enterography maps, plan to arrive 60 to 90 minutes early to ingest oral barium suspensions.
Allergic History Mapping Patients with documented medical standard sensitivities to seafood elements, ionic compounds, or diagnostic tracking agents require medical pre-medication clearance.
High-Field Shield Safety Screening

Because MRI environments employ persistent, high-density magnetic fields, all internal and surface metals are subject to rigorous safety checks.

Mandatory Screening Rules
  • You are required to submit immediate tracking documentation for embedded items like implantable pacemakers, infusion loops, vascular clips, or metallic shavings.
  • All loose tracking electronics, debit cards, standard wristwatches, keys, and currency frames must stay outside the test environment.
  • Fasting is optional, unless explicitly requested for specialized magnetic resonance cholangiopancreatography (MRCP) or deep pelvic contrast sequences.
